Early on Thursday morning, Justin Bieber was arrested by Miami police over charges of DUI and drag racing. The announcement was made via the Miami Beach Police official Twitter channel.

The information from the scene is still sketchy, as the police department has just issued the breaking news, confirming it was the pop singer that had been arrested and that there will be more information released and even a press release in the works.

What can be confirmed is that Bieber is now in police custody where he is more than likely being tested for alcohol since he was busted for a DUI. He is said to have failed his sobriety test when pulled over by police.

At the moment, he's awaiting for the bail to be set after he was pulled over in Miami driving around in a yellow Lamborghini. This also explains the drag racing charges.

Justin was spotted earlier this week in Miami, where he famously dropped several tens of thousands of dollars on exotic dancers in a gentlemen's club. Prior to that, he was seen partying at one of the local clubs, but sources say there was no alcohol involved.

Before he was in Miami, Justin took a couple of days off to go snowboarding in Aspen with friends and photographed the entire trip on Instagram. The singer is still on a hiatus from recording and touring, and seems to have a lot of free time on his hands.

This free time was lately spent traveling, but also getting into trouble wherever he went. Back at home, he's still under investigation over a possible egging of a neighbor’s house. He's also believed to be abusing recreational drugs, as evidence of codeine and marijuana abuse was found in his home by police during a raid.

Stay tuned for more development in the Justin Bieber arrest.
