In the United Kingdom

It's a battle of the Just videogames in the United Kingdom videogame chart this week, with the casual rhythm dancing title created by Ubisoft taking over from the open world action adventure delivered by Square Enix through Eidos. Further down the chart, things seem much quieter than at the top with no new titles managing to break into the top ten, a sign that the torrent of videogames that flooded the market at the beginning of 2010 might be slowing, making way to a summer, which players can dedicate to catching up.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the first person shooter from DICE and Electronic Arts, which has just received two new maps, free for those who bought the game new, is stationary in third place, while its biggest rival, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, from the personnel-bleeding Infinity Ward and Activision, which also got the Stimulus Package, managed to jump from sixth place to fourth.

Pokemon Soul Silver from Nintendo has seen its fortunes slide as it went from second place to fifth while its sister release Heart Gold also saw a fall from four to seven. Between the two Pokemon titles lies another Nintendo release, Wii Sports Resort, which managed to get from nine to six.

FIFA 10, the yearly football simulation from EA Sports, succeeded in getting back into the top ten at eight, probably because of the Champions League action taking place, while Wii Fit Plus is in ninth, and New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii coming in at number ten.

God of War 3, the Kratos saga ending title from Sony, a launch exclusive for the PlayStation 3, went from seventh place to 14, while Final Fantasy XIII, the Japanese role playing title from Square Enix, also exited the top ten, suffering the indignity of selling less than Mario Kart Wii.
