Ubisoft has announced that it is working on a new game called Just Dance Kids, a spin off from their Nintendo Wii based best seller Just Dance. The new game is set to arrive during November of this year and will focus on delivering pop songs that are known to kids as background for dancing routines. The game is also coming exclusively to the Nintendo Wii home console.

The new kid focused game will have more than 40 dances that have been created by professional choreographers with the images also using kids. The announcement for the spin off comes after Ubisoft announced that a Just Dance 2 is in development and that it will also be out at some pointy during this fall.

Adam Novickas, who is the marketing director for Ubisoft in the United States, stated when the announcement was made that, “a great way for the family to interact together and learn new dance routines, in addition to providing a great form of exercise.” At the moment the three track names that are known are “Holiday”, “Naturally” and “One Time”. A full track list will probably be offered by Ubisoft once the game is closer to its launch date.

The first Just Dance managed to sell close to 3 million units since it was launched in November 2009. One of the strong points of the game has been its lower than normal price of 39.99 dollars. Ubisoft is claiming that the dancing title is “the fastest-selling new intellectual property from a third-party publisher on Wii.” It will be interesting to see whether players are eager to get more of the same from Ubisoft. Other serialized franchises, like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, have discovered that too many spin offs and sequels tend to limit player interest in the core experience. Both have since limited the number of games they put out in one year.
