The original “Jurassic Park” movie, 1993, is a cinematographic milestone, so fans weren’t exactly happy when confirmation came that Universal Pictures were rebooting it. Hollywood is often found lacking in the originality department, which leads to the release of many unfortunate reboots, spinoffs and remakes that end up “ruining” the originals they’re based on.

With the first trailer for “Jurassic World,” scheduled for theatrical release this summer, fans started warming up to the idea of a reboot, especially since it starred one of the biggest breakthrough stars of last year, the always charming Chris Pratt.

The Super Bowl 2015 spot, screened during the big game but also available in full and in HD below, seems to confirm that this reboot won’t damage in any way the “Jurassic” franchise: it’s action packed, it’s intense and it’s well done.

The preview not only includes previously unseen footage, including a small glimpse at the hybrid dinosaur created by a scientist at the Park that manages to get away and put everyone on the island in grave danger, but also better CGI.

Apparently, the first trailer included not-quite finished FX on certain scenes, as the tweet below can confirm. Someone’s been busy.

“Jurassic World” also stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Vincent D’Onofrio, and is directed by Colin Trevorrow, who went mainstream with the indie hit “No Safety Guaranteed.” It will be out on June 12, 2015.
