It happened right after Christmas, as their issue of Architectural Digest came out

The latest issue of Architectural Digest includes an editorial on Julianna Marguiles’ gorgeous NYC apartment, which she recently had remodeled. It doesn’t look this way anymore because it’s been completely flooded.

The “Good Wife” star sat down for an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her The Ellen Show the other day and, among chit-chatting about the Golden Globes on Sunday night and her big secret not to freak out on the red carpet, Julianna also describes what could only be deemed a nightmare return home after the Christmas holiday.

In all fairness, the actress stresses a couple of times that she doesn’t want to make too much fuss about it because there are countless people in far worse situations than she was, but she admits she cried when she and her family returned home and saw the entire apartment flooded.

To blame was the upstairs neighbor, whose radiator had exploded.

“We walked into our brand new apartment with this [issue of AD magazine] – it was in the mail – and everything was flooded,” she explains.

The apartment in question is located in Manhattan’s trendy SoHo district and, though Julianna doesn’t say, it probably cost a fortune to have it remodeled. It’s no wonder she cried when she saw the damage, even though she tries to downplay it in this interview.
