JuiceCaster, the popular mobile social media application owned by Juice Wireless, can now be used, for free, on BlackBerry smartphones. The JuiceCaster application can be downloaded, in a beta version, from its official website, found at this address.

For the moment, only owners of AT&T's Blackberry Curve 8310 and Verizon's Blackberry Curve 8330 can enjoy the application. However, Juice Wireless will offer it, in the next few weeks, for BlackBerry Pearl users too, as well as for the European owners of RIM smartphones.

Presented as an award-winning application, JuiceCaster allows users to capture images or videos with their mobile devices and easily share them on websites like MySpace, Hi5, Photobucket, Orkut or Blogger. Furthermore, mobile users can instantly connect with friends and make new ones via the JuiceCaster community.

The main features of JuiceCaster include:

- video and image posting directly on Twitter and Facebook;

- video and image broadcastings are easily updated, so that friends can "follow" them;

- unique groups can be created (for example: "work friends," "family," "fantasy football" and so on). You can send images and videos to a whole group, by phone or email.

- browse and view pictures or videos directly on your handset.

"The Blackberry is a device with great data capabilities, and JuiceCaster is ideally suited for its users. As a Blackberry user myself, I see the value of our mobile application as a utility that enables users to interact in socially intelligent ways. From posting live video and picture updates on Twitter and Facebook, and following members' status updates, to media-rich blogging, Blackberry users can lifecast on the go with JuiceCaster," says Nick Desai, chief executive officer of Juice Wireless, Inc.

After the JuiceCaster application for BlackBerry is out of beta, it will no longer be free, but it's still a good thing that it can now be tried - maybe you'll get to like it so much that you won't mind paying for it.
