Chris Brown just can't catch a break. The singer is sentenced to spend one month in jail by a judge who denied him his release in court on Monday, March 17. Now, Brown will have to remain in jail until April 23.

Just last week the singer was still in rehab, busy completing his latest anger management stint but on Friday he got kicked out for violating some internal regulation and, upon failing to complete the court-ordered program, was promptly whisked away by police officers to jail.

It was later revealed that he failed to follow the “no contact with women” rule which forbade him to approach any woman in the facility. When he was spotted touching a woman's elbow and hands, he was given the boot.

But that's not all. It also looks like Chris was unable to submit to a random drug test. Despite the fact that he eventually gave in, the initial refusal was seen as a violation. When you add to that the fact that the singer reportedly kept bad-mouthing the rehab facility during group therapy sessions, you understand why he was dropped from the program.

TMZ says that the judge motivated his decision to send Brown behind bars by his “inability to stay out of trouble.” Also, a sentence Brown once uttered in rehab seems to have reached his honor's ears, which he considered to be a threat. It turns out that, at one point while he was in rehab, Chris said “I am good at using guns and knives.”

The judge is also waiting for Brown's D.C. case to be solved and for a jury to determine if he has committed criminal assault in an unrelated case. For this, he has to wait until April 17 when there is a hearing scheduled.

Apart from that, there is also a probation violation hearing scheduled for April 23, meant to determine whether Chris violated his probation when he went against the man in D.C. while being on probation for the Rihanna attack.

One of the probation conditions was that the singer should obey all laws. Failing to do so would land him in jail for 4 years, which is a very possible situation at the moment. Of course, this would be a worst case scenario for the singer, but since he can't seem to stay away from trouble long enough to clear his name, it's likely that the judge will throw the book at him this time.
