Here is a thriller that has a nice premise to it, and by the looks of the trailer, a good cast and some fine acting. The movie is called “Black Sea” and the trailer stars Jude Law as an out-of-work submarine captain struggling to make ends meet after he's been laid off.

His luck comes in the form of a corrupt Russian businessman who hires him to find a sunken Nazi submarine on the bottom of the Black Sea, supposedly filled with gold bullion. The captain hires himself a misfit crew and dives to the bottom of the sea with hopes of a rich plunder.

As it happens in such cases, greed and desperation take over and the dark waters take their toll on the sanity of the crew which slowly begins to unravel and soon the captain finds himself fighting for his life.

It's a heist movie, only more gritty and more claustrophobic. Judging by the footage seen in the trailer, it could easily pass for a James Bond movie under different circumstances so it should make for an entertaining watch.

The movie is directed by Oscar-winner Kevin Macdonald (“One Day in September,” “The Last King of Scotland”) and is set to premiere this December in Europe and in January 2015 in America.
