The British media is currently in uproar over the revelation that Josie Cunningham, a local celebrity wannabe, is refusing to quit smoking and drinking even though she's pregnant. The reason why she's ignoring common sense and doctors' warnings is because she's having a boy and all she really wanted was a girl.

The thoughtless mother is reported by The Mirror to be smoking up to 20 cigarettes per day, as well as drinking heavily on weekends, and she allegedly refuses to let go of her habits just because she's pregnant. Previously, Cunningham told the media that she was ready to abort her baby just so she could get on the local reality show “Celebrity Big Brother.”

She's now saying that if she knew her child was a boy, she would have “most probably” gone ahead with the abortion. The 23-year-old model and aspiring celebrity briefly quit smoking and drinking alcohol three weeks ago, when she was told by a psychic that she was having a girl.

But when she found out that she would be having another boy, her third, she resumed her partying ways and now refuses to put them off until the baby is born, despite the doctors' advice.

She went on the record to say, “The evening I found out the [gender] of the baby was when I lit up my first cigarette. I’m not proud of it – but I couldn’t stop myself. It changed everything.”

Cunningham went on to confess that “Once I’d finished the cigarette I found it difficult to focus on anything positive, so I had a small glass of wine. My intention was to have one, but before I knew it I was on my second and I’d smoked a whole packet of fags. Now I’m smoking 20 a day.”

Finally, she revealed her reasons saying the following: “I knew it could harm my child but it didn’t stop me. Deep down I know I wouldn’t be smoking or drinking if I knew I was having a girl.”

Oddly, the soon-to-be mother compares having a girl to getting a luxury car when you already own several budget models. “If you’ve already got a couple of Fords and you’re told your next car is going to be an Audi, your excitement goes through the roof,” she says.

“You make promises to yourself that you won’t smoke inside the car or let people eat takeaway food in it. But if it was another Ford those things wouldn’t be a problem,” Josie claims, adding that it's the same with children.

In her defense, Josie adds that she's not the only mother to think this way, but she's the only one brave enough to admit it. This comes from the woman who has been previously quoted as saying that being pregnant was ruining her chances to be famous.

Cunningham first came to the attention of the press when it was revealed that she received implants with money obtained from the NHS, which basically means that other people's money for medical insurance paid for her bigger chest.

Today, she's sparking further outrage with her admission that she would definitely abort her next baby if it were another boy. “If I got pregnant again, with a fourth boy, would I keep it? No. If I got pregnant again with a girl, would I keep it? Definitely.”
