When it rains, it pours, they say, and Madonna should know this better than any other celebrity, what with the massive criticism she’s been getting for her love affair with 22-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz. However, this time around, the bashing comes from someone who is connected to the singer only according to his own words, former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco.

Speaking with Us Magazine on the liaison that the Queen of Pop has with model Jesus Luz, Canseco points out that she should first look in the mirror and only afterwards start considering going public with such a relationship. She’s not only too old for Jesus, Canseco believes, but she is also showing no signs of shame by dating him and, what’s more important, showing herself in public next to him.

“Oh, my God! Doesn’t she realize she is 60-years old? Come on!” Canseco tells Us Magazine at the 7th Annual World Poker Tour Invitational at Commerce Casino in L.A. “When she is 80, what is she going to date – a guy who is 10 years old? It’s getting crazy!” he adds, when a journalist for the magazine asks him how he feels about Madonna taking Jesus to a Kabbalah center over the weekend.

Canseco and Madonna's relationship is as vague as he is adamant to make it public in the media. The pair allegedly met in 1991, while Jose was still married, and the singer reportedly was so smitten with his impressive physique that she instantly made a move on him. And that’s not all, according to the man who virtually opened the door for the steroid abuse in baseball scandal, since Madonna almost begged him to get her pregnant, so that she could offer daughter Lourdes (with trainer Carlos Leon) a Cuban sibling.

“She had a Cuban child and wanted another one. She wanted to get married and have a child with me. I’m Cuban, 6-foot-3, athletic, built.” Canseco revealed for the Daily News a while back. When he refused the singer’s advances on account of the fact that he was trying to work things out with his wife, Madonna reportedly “said, ‘I have lots of money. Don’t worry about that.’ I had to leave at that point so I got up and left. I think she thought she could persuade me or seduce me over time,” the former baseballer recalls.
