“Shep, you’ve been CNN-ed,” Stewart says on his segment

The Internet had a blast with the unveiling of the futuristic News Desk over at Fox News and particularly the pride Shepard Smith showed in their new, gigantic touchscreens, but Jon Stewart is just getting started.

Check out the video below to see what he had to say about Fox News’ move to turn its News Desk into a spaceship or, as Stewart puts it, the place to store all those “ridiculously large iPads” they stole from a giant.

He also points out that, no matter how bigger the devices Fox uses, our screens remain the same size. As if that wasn’t enough, he lets Smith know that “nothing you said [you’d do with them] couldn’t be done using a phone.”

But the ridiculously large touchscreens are more than just a waste of money and space. “Shep, can't you see what they've done to you? They're destroying you with the only surefire way they know to ruin a real newsman: They put you in a Situation Room. Shep, you've been CNN-ed,” Stewart says.

His conclusion is simple: “You don't get to be better newsmen because your computers go to 11.”
