14 DAY TRIAL // It’s clear that the public has grown immensely tired by TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8” reality show, for which reason it is now breathing its last breaths and, implicitly, episodes. Still, that’s not to say this will be the last the world sees of the couple, as reports are beginning to pour in saying New Line Cinema is thinking of turning their story into a film.
The report goes back to Star magazine, which means, beyond any trace of doubt, that it’s best taken with a grain of salt. According to the US tab, inside sources reveal that New Line is looking into buying the rights for a film on the much-mediated Gosselin couple. However, this in itself would not be as shocking as the claim the mag makes that the movie studio is looking to get Johnny Depp and Cameron Diaz for the part.
Of course, there are countless arguments that can be brought up to prove that this is not an accurate report, starting from the mere fact that Depp has quite a reputation for choosing parts that he is personally partial to, parts that he knows for a fact will mean something for his development as an actor. This would, understandably, mean that he’s to stay as far away as possible from the story that has become tabloid fodder over recent months. Then again, they say there’s never smoke without a fire, so it could very well be that a movie based on the two is actually in the making.
Until we get some form of confirmation on this one, we might as well mention that other reports say that Jon Gosselin is looking to start his own reality show with none other than OctoMom Nadya Suleman. Just recently, Suleman told the paparazzi from Radar that she found Jon “hot” and that she had this “thing” for him, and presumably this is where the idea for the new reality show came from.
As you must have guessed by now, the series will reportedly have Jon Gosselin dating Suleman, while trying to come to terms with the idea that, if they got married, they’d have 22 children between them.
