Report claims Jon Hamm has been drinking too much, may need rehab in the immediate future

Deemed one of the most attractive and talented men in Hollywood right now, Jon Hamm has been living life on the edge and may be heading to rehab soon, if one is to believe the latest report in The National Enquirer (story via here).

According to the most recent print edition of the tab, Hamm, who won over audiences worldwide with his role on the hit TV series “Mad Men,” has been hitting the bottle quite a lot in recent months.

Consequently, his friends are worried he may need rehab pretty soon or else risk everything he’s worked so hard to achieve.

At the beginning of the month, for instance, Jon literally fell out of an LA bar in the early hours of morning. He was accompanied by longtime girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt and she seemed totally over it, claims the report.

“In my opinion, he was absolutely blind drunk! I was walking in as he was leaving around midnight, and as I opened the door for him, he almost fell out of the bar,” a patron says for the Enquirer.

“I asked him if he was alright as he tripped out of the door and mumbled something incoherently. Jennifer followed right behind him and rolled her eyes,” the eyewitness says.

Another tipster adds that, for the time being, Jon limits his drinking only to his spare time, and that he remains a pro on the set of whatever project he may be working on.

“On the set, Jon’s always as sober as a preacher. But when he’s not working, he likes to cut loose with a drink or two… or more! By the end of night, he often seems blotto. His nickname is ‘Hammered’,” the insider shares.

For the time being, Hamm doesn’t seem to have a serious drinking problem, but those around him fear it may come to that if he doesn’t cut back on his boozing.

“Jon’s a hell of a nice guy. But his drinking has caused whispers. No one wants to see him end up in rehab,” another tipster says.
