The two argue, he walks out

Jon Gosselin and his younger girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, from whom he is separated but not quite, have taken their drama in front of the cameras in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight. The two initially met to sit down and talk why it would be best if they ended their romance, but they eventually started to fight and, visibly upset, Jon stormed off, saying he wasn’t talking about this anymore, Us Magazine informs.

Despite claims to the contrary, the recent ET interview shows that Glassman and Gosselin have not yet officially broken up. In fact, the interview itself was meant to help them settle things, but, with Jon insisting that Hailey needed to be free to live her life, and with her saying that he would “cry” every time she tried to do so, it was a doomed affair from the start. Jon, “frustrated,” as he puts it himself at one point in the interview, does not wish to discuss some things on national television.

“We’re going to take a break and decide.” Jon announces at the offset of the interview. “We’ll let Hailey decide on what she wants to do... My life is so hectic right now, I have to concentrate on my own decisions... Maybe she wants to go get a job. Maybe she wants to date other people. Maybe she wants to experience life? Live on her own and do her own things. I don’t know. If I was 22, I would probably want a break too, because it is so much.” Hailey agrees, saying, “As hard as it is for us, he needs to go handle his stuff, be with his family and handle his divorce, and I need to go and be a 22-year-old and get my life back.”

For a while, the two seem to be on the same note as regards their separation: namely, that it has to happen for the good of both, Us Magazine further says. However, the moment Glassman says Gosselin cries every time she tries to leave him, they are no longer on the same page. For one, Jon appears to be very upset and, all of a sudden, no longer willing to sit through the interview he too agreed to take part in. Eventually, he just storms off, in what celebrity bloggers have not failed to label “a hissy fit worthy of a little girl.”

“I don’t want to do this on national TV – this is serious,” Hailey says. Jon answers back, “I wanted to discuss this in private, but now it’s public. I’m getting frustrated, because it’s uncomfortable. This whole thing’s uncomfortable. I don’t like it. I mean, you’re telling me out there that you love me and you want to be with me, and then you... I’m not talking anymore.” When Hailey tries to bring up the question of his kids, Jon simply says, “I’m not talking about this,” and walks out.
