14 DAY TRIAL // Kate Major is no longer romantically involved in any way with Jon Gosselin but she’s still doing the media rounds to tell her side of the story. After blasting the father of eight in the written media, the former tabloid editor is now doing TV interviews on the topic of the 2-week affair they may or may not have had. CBS’ Early Show is the latest to sit down with Kate 2.0 and have her speak her mind on what a “dirtbag” Gosselin really is.
Major is deeply upset about all the allegations that have been circulating in the media at her expense. Strangely enough, while she’s not ok with Hailey Glassman, Gosselin’s current girlfriend, branding her a “cuckoo,” she saves her harsh words for Jon alone. Among the many things she accuses him of, the former Star editor enlists promising her things he never offered her, including a job as his personal assistant. It was this, Major says, that convinced her to go out with him, aside from the many reassurances he gave her they would be together.
“I didn’t look at it as a fling, I wouldn’t have gotten involved with him if I knew the outcome of the situation – ever. But I did, and Jon had promised me and told me a lot of things or else I wouldn’t have put myself in this situation… He told me a lot of things that he isn’t saying publicly that he said. It’s very hurtful because I have to deal with the repercussions of it alone…” Major says on CBS. Among those things, he promised her he would hire her as his PA once she quit her job at Star so that they could be together all the time.
As it’s already common knowledge, the drama started even before Kate Gosselin and Jon announced their intention to file the divorce papers. He quickly moved on with Glassman but their romance was interrupted for about two weeks, during which time he was seen out in public with Major, who was supposed to meet him for an interview. They soon “broke up” and Jon continued to date Glassman, who is his girlfriend to this day. Nevertheless, his behavior was anything but that of a gentleman, so respect is perhaps the last thing Major feels now for him.
“I don’t have a lot of respect for him. I think he handled the situation very poorly. He did not act like an adult, or a grown man, or a father. It’s sad. I think the fame has just gone to his head and he’s on some bachelor romp or whatever you want to call it. But you cannot treat people… It’s not fair to me, it’s not fair to Hailey, it’s not fair to his ex-wife, his kids or anyone else involved in the situation.” Kate Major, also known as Kate 2.0 for a brief while, further says for CBS.
