Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin got divorced in 2009 but the drama between them is still ongoing - and threatening to reach a new high soon. At the end of last month, the two clashed again, this time over the wellbeing of 11-year-old daughter Hannah, and Jon has decided to file for custody for her.

Jon and Kate have 8 children together, a set of twins and sextuplets. He’s been trying to get full custody of them for a few years now, but Radar Online reports that he will focus on Hannah for the time being, after she’s made a series of “cruelty” claims about her life at home, with her mother.

April incident precipitates things with the Gosselins

According to the report, on April 23, after he spoke to Hannah and she told him that Kate had been acting inappropriately towards her (the report doesn’t elaborate on the “cruelty” claim), Jon went over to his ex’s Pennsylvania house and drove away with his daughter.

Beforehand, he had placed a call to child services, but it didn’t result in any complications for Kate.

Speaking of the reality star, she too got in her car and drove to Jon’s house, where they argued violently over who gets to keep Hannah. The teen refused to leave with her mother and remained there for another 3 days, at the end of which Kate called the cops and told them Jon had threatened her and left Hannah alone for an entire night, while he went to work.

This call had the effect she counted on, and Hannah was brought back home, the report says, citing sources familiar with the situation. Jon plans to make his daughter’s stay with Kate as short as possible.

Jon goes for sole custody of 1 kid out of 8

This April incident has convinced Jon that something is not right with the way his ex is treating their children. He had previously told the media that he believed Kate was “exploiting” the kids to further her TV career and that prolonged exposure on camera had led to severe developmental problems in them.

Reports claim that Kate was also very strict and occasionally violent to the children when they were smaller, and even that she forced them to eat moldy food only to show them that they had no other choice but to do as she told them.

Jon believes he has a case now to actually prove Kate is the evil monster he’s been saying she is, and to get custody of Hannah.

“Jon will be filing a petition to modify custody, and if he gets it, he’ll be contacting TLC to put a stop to filming,” a spy says for Radar Online. “Hannah doesn’t want to film but Kate is making her, and she’s not the only child who has no interest in being on the show. He wants them to be safe and have a normal childhood.”
