14 DAY TRIAL // Joe Manganiello, the hunky actor who was named People magazine’s hottest bachelor in Hollywood just a few days ago, may already be en route to going off the market. Reports indicate that he’s dating newly single Sofia Vergara and that he’s absolutely smitten with her.
Consider that, in the same piece honoring him for his incredible good looks, Joe admitted that Sofia was pretty much his idea of a perfect woman, and you can see how this has the potential of becoming the hottest couple in showbiz.
As most men out there, Joe praised Sofia’s gorgeous figure and her natural curves, but also the fact that she was always outspoken and feisty, and would not shy away from calling it like she saw it. Not too many women in showbiz can boast of being this courageous, but Sofia can.
Apparently, this was the key to Joe’s heart. Us Weekly reports that the two met in May at the White House Correspondents Dinner, which is also when they were photographed together for the first time, and they hit it off instantly.
However, at the time, Sofia and businessman / on-and-off fiancé Nick Loeb were still together, still trying to see if they could make the relationship work, so neither she nor Joe acted on whatever chemistry they felt like they shared.
Sofia and Nick eventually decided to break up, and Joe moved in for the kill, as the saying goes.
“It's very, very new. They're having fun and getting to know each other,” an insider reveals for the celebrity publication.
Joe is smitten with the Latina beauty, so much so that he even visited her on the set of “Don’t Mess with Texas” over the 4th of July holiday weekend, taking her out to dinner at a nearby restaurant.
“They held each other and kissed several times,” another insider says for the publication, adding that the duo agreed to share a table with other patrons because the restaurant was so crowded.
“Sofia is Joe's dream girl! He's been smitten with her for years. He's always had a huge crush on her. Things are going well for them so far. Sofia had no idea that he had been crushing on her for a while,” another tipster reveals.
Now that she knows, she can do something about it.
Sofia and Nick were engaged for 2 years, but together for many more. Their relationship was always, at least according to insider accounts, very volatile, partly because he could not stop cheating on her (allegedly), partly because they wanted different things in life.
They called the engagement off for good in May this year, right after the White House event where she first laid eyes on her supposed new beau, Joe Manganiello.
