Hilarious skit brings A-listers together on Kimmel’s show

Jimmy Kimmel is known for his hilarious skits, though many were tempted to believe, until the other night, that he couldn’t possibly top the “I’m [expletive]-ing Matt Damon” segment he did with Matt Damon and then-girlfriend Sarah Silverman. The other night, after the Oscars, Kimmel became president of the Handsome Men’s Club – and then got voted out of it.

The skit, featured on Kimmel’s show, ran a little over 9 minutes and, though for the most part came across as an excuse to feature more celebrities, it is already kicking up a storm online. With cameos from the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Sting, Matthew McConaughey, Ethan Hawke, Josh Hartnett, Taye Diggs, Tony Romo, Keith Urban, and, of course, friends Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, it’s no wonder it does.

The meeting at the HMC begins with president Kimmel proposing new men for the title of Handsome. “Twilight” heartthrobs Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson (whose name Kimmel slightly mispronounces) are voted as Handsome by the members, but the president doesn’t “quite see it yet.” The same goes for Liev Schreiber, at which point McConaughey specifies to Kimmel that he’s not doing things by the book, especially when he’s already enjoying a privileged position.

Rallied up by Matthew, all the other members agree that Kimmel is not Handsome and ask for a vote (a “call to Handsome”), which is when Jimmy attempts to explain to them, backed by music and lyrics courtesy of Lenny Kravitz, how beauty actually comes from inside. Predictably, he’s voted out of the club but the climax doesn’t come until Kimmel is out the door – and he sees it slammed in his face by old frenemy Matt Damon who lets him know they’ve run out of time (and old Kimmel – Damon gag).

The scene ends with Kimmel in bed with Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner, and yet another hilarious moment. Check out the video below for the entire skit and, of course, enjoy.
