As the release date of the “Dumb & Dumber” sequel draws ever closer, Jim Carrey took the time to reveal to his Twitter followers the first official poster for the movie. It's a clear reference to the original, so anyone who hasn't seen it will be probably be left scratching their heads.

The photo teases the famous tacky costumes that Carrey and Daniels wore in a notorious scene from the first film. Under each suit that is neatly sat on a coat hanger is written “Dumbing Soon,” with an added note of hilarity from the inverted “B.”

As part of the promotional effort for the movie, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels released in January a photo of their characters Lloyd and Harry, whom they will be reprising for the sequel, riding the statue of a deer.

Carrey isn't the only one that's been doing promotional work for the film. In a recent interview, Daniels hinted that there was going to be a scene in the sequel that would outdo the infamous toilet scene in the first one.

“[It] pales in comparison and I can't divulge what, but just that they've topped it," he teased. "[The] best thing about it? I get to work with a comedic genius,” he teased fans.

Be on the lookout for the new “Dumb & Dumber” sequel in cinemas this November.
