Those thinking that Jessica Simpson is still upset about what they say of her oscillating weight and sometimes uninspired fashion have it wrong. To them, Jess has only one thing to say: I'm laughing all the way to the bank.

Speaking with Ryan Seacrest the other day (quotes via the Daily Mail), the soon to be mommy stressed once more that, for her, being the ideal, “standard” weight is no indicative of real happiness.

As fans must already know, these past couple of years have seen Jessica often targeted for a pound or two on the extra, with certain media outlets even trying to bully her into getting thin again.

At the same time, the star has long decided not to do anything that might put her health in danger and, consequently, she's now a normal-sized, healthy woman.

More importantly, though, she's also a filthy rich woman, having established the biggest celebrity fashion empire of modern times – and she's not done yet.

“People are going to have their opinions and judge. For me it created a space for me to understand myself. No one else's standards matter,” Jessica says.

“They can talk about my weight and my career but as long as I'm happy that's all that matters. It helps I'm laughing all the way to the bank!” the star tells Ryan.

In the same interview, Jessica also talks about motherhood and what plans she has for starting a family.

She is in no rush to marry fiance Eric Johnson, she says, but she knows for a fact it won't be until the birth of the child she's now carrying.

They don't know yet whether they're having a boy or a girl, but they will soon – and Jessica promises she'll spill the beans shortly after she finds out.

“I'm a loudmouth so I won't be able to keep it secret. I eventually want both a boy and a girl so I'll be happy with either one. But it's definitely not twins,” she says.

Until that time comes, though, Jessica is living in the moment, enjoying her pregnancy and life in general.

“I'm all knocked up. It's amazing. I'm loving being pregnant. I couldn't keep it a secret any longer, the baby was like 'take a picture of me!' I'm very excited,” she says.
