New mom and businesswoman Jessica Simpson is short of one job. At the Television Critics Association Press Tour, NBC Chief Bob Greenblatt confirmed that Fashion Star, on whose panel she sat, was canceled after two seasons.

As NY Mag’s The Cut writes, the show had a very hard time resonating with fashion lovers at home, despite various attempts at making it more interesting.

Reality star turned designer Nicole Richie was also on the judges panel with Simpson.

“Confirmed: Jessica Simpson's reality fashion-competition show, best described as a weak adaptation of Project Runway, has been canceled by NBC after two lackluster seasons,” The Cut writes.

“Despite a large cast of celebrities like Nicole Richie, John Varvatos, and Elle Macpherson (who was later replaced by Louise Roe), audiences never really committed, and now Simpson has one less job in fashion,” adds the same media outlet.

However, Simpson really has nothing to worry about: not only is she the most successful celebrity designer in the world right now but she’s also continuing to work on TV, as NBC is prepping a sitcom based on her life, with her as lead.
