Jessica Simpson is a busy mom of two young children, a girl and a baby boy, and a very successful businesswoman but, with all that, she still finds the time to take care of herself and lose the pregnancy weight.

Unlike her experience with losing the weight after Maxwell was born, this time around, she is “a lot more confident” and, because of it, she finds that shedding the extra pounds comes easily.

In an interview with Tumblr’s MomFeeds, Jessica confirms that she’s back on Weight Watchers after giving birth to Ace, because she’d already seen that the program had real results after Maxwell was born.

“When I had Maxwell I gained a lot of weight. More than I thought I would. And when it came time to try to take it off, it felt overwhelming. Stepping on the scale and seeing that number was really scary. With a toddler on the run and an infant to look after, I knew I needed a plan that’s simple and fits into my life along with the support that’s so important to my success,” she explains.

The fact that she has more experience and confidence in herself now also helps with the weight loss.

“With Maxwell I didn’t think about the weight I was gaining and the first time I stepped on a scale and looked at the number… I mean that wasn’t a number I had ever even considered… and I was faced with a pretty serious truth. But since I had already done Weight Watchers, I didn’t put on as much weight with Ace and I just know a lot more now,” the former pop star continues.

She also credits her fiancé Eric Johnson for his unconditional love and support, which, in this particular instance, translates into letting her know how much he loves her and how beautiful she is to him no matter how much she weighs.

“The great thing about Eric is that when he played football he was always conscious of his weight and either gaining or losing, so he knows what it’s like and he’s helpful. Plus he loves me and always makes me feel beautiful… so he’s awesome,” Jessica gushes.

You probably noticed that, unlike other celebrities doing similar post-pregnancy interviews, Jessica doesn’t put a number on her weight loss, which is admirable, if you think about it: this way, her message that family and health are the most important remains unaltered.
