14 DAY TRIAL // Perhaps one of the most famous instances of shade-throwing in showbiz is the moment when Mariah Carey uttered a slick “I don’t know her” when she was asked what she thought of Jennifer Lopez. Well, actress Jessica Lange might have just snatched Mimi’s crown on a recent panel for “American Horror Story.”

Lange announced that “Freak Show” was her last season on the FX hit series, and she took the time out to thank the series creator, her cast and the fans for a wonderful and fulfilling experience.
She was nothing but the ultimate professional until the very end, when one question seemed to take her completely by surprise: so Lady Gaga’s addition to the cast had not managed to convince her to stay? If you think about it, the question was dumb because it assumed that Lange would be talked out of leaving just because some pop star had decided she wanted to be on the show as well.
Still, her reaction was priceless: rolling her eyes, shaking her head and chuckling, the actress managed to get out, “What does that mean? I don’t understand the question,” before smiling to herself some more. “Ha!” she added right at the end. Ha indeed.
