14 DAY TRIAL // Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake quietly tied the knot in 2012 after years of dating, but fans waiting to hear news that they’re expecting their first child together were repeatedly disappointed in their expectations. According Justin’s grandmother Sadie Bomar, all that’s down to Jessica.
Despite talk in the blogosphere that it was always Justin who put off a more serious commitment and thus delayed the wedding until there was no more delaying possible, and that it was always him who didn’t want to have kids, it’s Jessica who’d rather wait some more.
According to Sadie, speaking to Star magazine, Justin would have a baby today if possible, but Jessica keeps putting it off.
“Justin has wanted to have children all his life. If it were up to him, they’d have a baby tomorrow!,” Justin’s grandmother explains.
Because of their busy schedules, Jessica is refusing to plan anything, so she’s adopted the “if it’s bound to happen it will happen” motto when it comes to the topic of having babies. “She is okay with everything happening when it’s meant to be. They will have a child when the good Lord says they should,” Sadie says.
If it sounds like Sadie is shading Biel, that’s because she probably is. This isn’t the first time it happens either: in February this year, she dropped a similar gem to another publication, which started breakup rumors for the usually media-shy couple.
At the time, Sadie was asked how married life was agreeing with Jessica and Justin since they hadn’t been seen in public together for a while, and she said something along the lines of, “they work so hard and spend so little time together that it’s hard going.”
“I think Jessica finds that really tough. She's on her own a good deal. If he's not coming back at night that puts a strain on things, of course it does,” Sadie explained.
When the interviewer pressed her for more details on the couple’s life behind closed doors and possible baby plans, Sadie said that she would not count on it happening too soon for the reasons stated above.
Ironically, just last month, another report, this time not coming from a family member, claimed that Jessica was “desperate” to have children, accompanying Justin on the road just so they could “practice baby-making.”
If anything, all these conflicting reports confirm that Justin and Jessica remain a very fascinating topic for the tabloids. They have been plagued by all kinds of rumors since they first started dating in 2007, most of them about how Justin would not commit and would even cheat on Jessica whenever presented with the chance.
These rumors picked up speed whenever they happened to be on a break, and were followed by baby rumors when they reconciled. Since they got married, though, the rumor mill seems to have slowed down for them – unless, of course, grandma Sadie talks to the tabs and throws some shade.
