Jessica Alba has put all Hollywood projects on hold to dedicate all her spare time to her second baby Haven Garner, while launching a new company aiming to commercialize sustainable baby and household products.

While some other celebrities focus all their efforts on their successful careers and glittery appearances on the red carpet, Jessica Alba has a much more eco-friendly goal in mind, InStyle Austrialia informs.

Being a full time mom is almost never profitable, and Jessica is fully aware of this and tries to exploit all the potential of this green line of business. A large segment of eco-conscious buyers and a significant number of her fans will most likely appreciate the products launched by The Honest Company, a web-based company in Santa Monica that will be inaugurated later this month.

While explaining the concept that is going to bring her a lot of profit and the recognition of environmentalists, Jessica Alba says her enterprise aims to provide “honest baby products for the next generation.”

The main element will be diapers, but also household cleaning products and bodycare items will soon be available at thehonestcompany.com.

The best thing is that Jessica Alba is definitely not the kind of pampered celebrity that launches an eco product to green up her own name and increase its profit by asking a fortune for those items, just because they are manufactured under her signature.

The actress guarantees that her company will deliver risk-free products destined to improve the lives of parents and babies, that will be “accessible and affordable.”

“If something is healthy and non-toxic, it is usually at a premium price point. We aren’t going to be the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive,” explains Jessica.

The celebrity has come up with this ingenious idea when she had her first baby. She noticed how difficult it was to find products that had a zero impact on the health and development of kids.

Instead of turning her attention to the fashion industry, like more than a few other stars, Jessica says the new line is her true passion, meant to protect children worldwide, not just her own.
