Jessica Alba has an amazing figure, even after giving birth to 2 babies, and as per her own words, letting herself go during her first pregnancy. Even though, in older interviews, she said she never skipped a workout because she could not afford to be out of shape, she now reveals for Self magazine that she hates the gym and only gets exercise when she has no other choice.

Some could accuse her of inconsistency for this.

“I hate working out,” Jessica tells the fitness publication. “It's boring! I really only did it when I had a job that was physically demanding. But from age 17 until I was 27, all I did were movies that were physically demanding – so all I did was work out all the time!”

However, she insists, there was never any systematic approach to it, despite claiming the contrary in past interviews.

“After I had Honor, my first child. I worked out to get back into shape. Then I stopped. Then I got pregnant with Havie and I worked out a bit after I had her but then I stopped once I hit a weight that I felt fine with, because it's just boring. Recently I've started to work out for stress. I realize that I just need to give my mind a break,” Alba says.

Having a body that is rated among Hollywood’s finest and seeing how her vacation photos almost always go viral (yes, she really does look this good, just Google her name and you will see), if we’re to take this admission at face value, we could conclude that Jessica must be one of the luckiest women alive.

You don’t have to believe us because it’s Jessica who’s basically saying it: not only does she not work out on a regular basis but she doesn’t even diet in the strictest sense of the word.

Of course, she makes sure she eats healthy (Jessica is all about leading a healthy life by removing all toxins from her family’s environment, starting with their food), but she won’t turn down a treat after a meal like some women on a diet would.

“For me, when I don't eat a ton of carbs, I have more energy. But I'll for sure have a piece of chocolate. I will mow through a bowl of guacamole. If I'm not going to have a dessert, I'll have a martini. You just can't do both, at least not every single day because then you'll feel sluggish in the morning,” she reveals.

Moderation seems to be the secret to a body like Jessica Alba’s: eat right but also indulge when you feel like it, stay active but don’t become a gym freak.
