Just like Tiger Woods before him, Jesse James, the latest celebrity to be caught in a major media scandal for allegations of infidelity, eventually admitted he had a problem and is currently in rehab for it, TMZ has learned. Sandra Bullock’s husband is now in Arizona seeking professional help for issues that have not been made public to the press.

According to the paparazzi agency and celebrity gossip website, which first got wind of the story from a CHP officer that reportedly met with James last Friday and to whom the star confessed he was about to head to rehab, the treatment will be in-patient. The facility is called Sierra Tucson, and specializes in drug, alcohol and other types of addiction, which would mean James could have been admitted for any of them. A staff member at the facility has also confirmed that Jesse James is there.

“Multiple law enforcement sources have told TMZ when a CHP officer stopped Jesse last Friday on the 10 Freeway near Blythe, CA. – for driving without a front license plate and driving with tinted windows – James told the officer he was going to Arizona to try to save his marriage to Sandra Bullock. We have now learned from our law enforcement sources that James was specific – that he was going to a rehab facility in Tucson,” TMZ says.

Before confirmation came straight from the star’s publicist, the same media outlet did some digging around, but all it could find out was that, indeed, Jesse James went in for treatment this weekend and will only emerge once that’s done. “A TMZ producer called Sierra Tucson and spoke with a therapist, who told us Jesse was at the facility and in fact had a 6 PM treatment Tuesday night. Jesse’s rep acknowledged he’s in rehab,” the e-zine further says.

An official statement on James’ stay in rehab and its purpose is unlikely to arrive, though, voices in the blogosphere say. However, he did address the issue of his alleged infidelity shortly after the scandal broke in the media via a public apology to his wife and children, he also said then that such personal issues would never again be discussed with the press for the obvious reason that they’re personal.
