14 DAY TRIAL // Several photos and a video of Jesse James’ daughter Chandler, who is just 18, inhaling crystal meth, have emerged online. In a statement to Radar Online, the star confirms that she had a problem with drug abuse, but explains that she’s already sought treatment for it.
The compromising footage, which was posted in the aforementioned celebrity e-zine, was shot earlier this year in Austin, Texas, at one of the parties that Chelsea attended regularly.
The woman who made them (and then sold them to Radar) went on the record saying that Chelsea would often use serious drugs, after getting involved with the wrong crowd.
Contacted for comment, James would only confirm that Chelsea had already gotten the help she needed so badly.
“My daughter spent the month of April in a treatment facility getting help for addiction. She is out now and in recovery, actively participating in a 12-step AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) program,” he wrote in an email.
Radar writes, citing the unnamed female tipster, that it was just as well that Chandler got help because it seemed as if she was completely going off track.
“It is an open secret here in Austin that Chandler and her friends party hard and get wired. It was getting pretty out of hand. If she didn’t get help, who knows what could have happened,” the woman says.
She claims the only reason she sold the photos was to get Chandler’s family to understand the severity of the problem.
“Usually, when I saw Chandler and her friends, they would be huffing computer duster. But lately, they started hanging out with a low level drug dealer named Gavin, who was providing them with more severe drugs, like meth,” the insider explains.
Chandler is Jesse James’ eldest daughter, with his first wife Karla James.
