14 DAY TRIAL // Pauly D is probably the last person you could ever think of as having the elegance and the sophistication of the male characters in Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby” but, as it turns out, he still has some major surprises up his sleeve.
Most definitely inspired by the gorgeous looking film, the former Jersey Shore reality star has gotten a new ‘do and he’s proudly showing it off on his Twitter, as the photo attached to this article will also confirm.
“#TheGreatDJGatsby !!!” he writes in a tweet accompanying the pic, which shows him with side-parted, slick hair.
Even better, he accompanies the new hair with a simple black suit and tie. To say that he’s nearly unrecognizable is almost an understatement.
Proof that his makeover, albeit temporary, was well received can also be found on social media: fans and celebrities like Ryan Seacrest have nothing but nice words about it, with many saying that it was about time he ditched the blowout ‘do.
Whether Pauly plans on sticking to this sophisticated look, time will tell, but one can’t help but notice that, since they broke in the spotlight with the controversial MTV reality show, many of its stars have toned down their image considerably.
Perhaps the best example is pint-sized Snooki who, while on the show, was a bit of a drunken (even if fun) mess whom you could never associate with the term “responsible.”
When she told the press she was playing a character, few believed her.
In recent months, Snooki has turned her life around: she’s now a mother and soon-to-be-bride, hardly drinks, has lost a lot of weight and has managed to transform herself from a reality star into a respectable businesswoman.
She writes books on a wide array of topics, she does media appearances, she designs stuff (from headphones to clothes), and she’s also drastically improved her personal style.
If she could do it, perhaps it’s in the cards for Pauly D as well.
