MTV Games has announced an exclusive deal with the producer

It was just a while ago when Jerry Bruckheimer announced that he was going to work on the Prince of Persia movie and things changed a little. No, he is still working on the PoP movie and it seems that he had actually played the game a little, or at least he played some video games. Because MTV Games has announced a partnership with Jerry Bruckheimer to develop original titles.

Everything will start from scratch (kind of) - Bruckheimer will build a game incubation studio, get a team of experienced developers, artists and storytellers and will start the creation of new video games. Hopefully, the first titles they'll work on will be Survivor and The Amazing Race - it's been a while since I've been waiting for one of these games to be announced by anybody who could handle the job. And Bruckheimer plus his studio might be the best choice.

"Video games represent a new and innovative medium for what we've always tried to do, which is to tell great stories. But this medium is unique in that it gives the player control over how those stories unfold," said Jerry Bruckheimer. "I look forward to working with MTV Games to create new original game stories, always looking for ways to innovate the medium."

Having in mind the fact that Bruckheimer will probably work on, at least, the initial stages of the games development and the official press release says that "some of the game concepts could migrate to other entertainment media including film and TV", we hope that's we'll have different kinds of franchises now - the game, the movie and the... TV series? I'm just saying, because everything sounds nice at the beginning but might prove to be a fiasco till the end. We'll wait and see. I still want Survivor, the Game or The Amazing Race.
