14 DAY TRIAL // When Kate Middleton and Prince William arrived in LA a few days ago, the who’s who of Hollywood came out to meet them at the BAFTA event. Oddly enough, Jennifer Lopez got the most face time with them – and Mary Louise Parker knows why.
Accompanied by her mother (and not her husband Marc Anthony), Jennifer seemed to be the one celebrity to get the most media attention during the glitzy event.
Not only were there countless pictures of her on the red carpet, but also lots of snaps of her and the Royals. It’s because she completely hogged them, Parker let it slip during a recent interview.
Asked by People magazine what she thought of Kate and William, the “Weeds” star spilled the beans that she never actually got to meet them, and it was all because Lopez was in a rush to be the first.
“I didn’t meet them. I was shoved out of the way by Jennifer Lopez. Uh oh, I shouldn’t have said that,” Parker told the magazine.
For many celebrity bloggers and industry watchers, this is a very good explanation as to why there are so many photos of Jennifer with the Royal Couple, whereas other stars got one, if lucky.
As for why Lopez brought as date to the event her mother Guadalupe and not her husband, the explanation could be in that they are no longer together.
As we also informed you earlier today, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are separated and getting a divorce. It’s not a silly rumor either, since it comes straight from the diva herself.
“We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters,” a statement on her official website reads.
“It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time,” the statement adds.
