Jennifer Lopez is a self-professed sucker for love, to the point where she can’t imagine her life without being in love or in a relationship. The upside to this is that she always has inspiration for her music, which has also happened with her upcoming, still-to-be-named tenth album.

The material drops in music stores in June but fans have already had a taste of it with various singles released, the most recent being the playful “I Luh Ya Papi.”

Speaking with PopCrush, JLo says her fans should expect even more songs about love on the album because, guess what?, that’s what inspires her. Considering that, at the time she wrote it she lost one love (Marc Anthony) and found another (Casper Smart), my guess is there will be a tinge of melancholy on it as well.

“My topic is love. It always has been. It’s my motivation. It’s what I think about. That’s who I am at the essence. But what I thought about love for my first nine albums is very different from what I think about it now after everything I’ve been through,” she says.

“My goal was to just be as honest as I could. You know, I’d gone through a lot in my life right at that point when I went on tour. I'd been through a divorce. A lot of things had happened. I really felt like it was a turning point in my life,” Lopez continues.

Indeed, as fans probably recall, Jennifer did go through a tough time right after she and Marc called it quits. However, don’t expect her to trash him in any of her songs, ever. The two split amicably and they’re still such great friends that they actually double date with their respective current parents, and even take their twins Max and Emme along too.
