Ever since the announcement came that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were divorcing, the tabloids have been very busy trying to “find” her a rebound lover. That lover seems to be P Diddy, if one is to believe a recent report.

Granted, other names have also been thrown in the mix, including that of ex-fiancé Ben Affleck, and current co-star Rodrigo Santoro. Diddy is there as well, as per a report cited by Celeb Dirty Laundry.

Apparently, JLo and Diddy went on a dinner date just recently, with one source hinting that it may have been more than a date between friends.

In other words, they could be getting back together.

“The couple secretly met just five days after she announced her split from husband Marc Anthony after 7 years of marriage and had dinner at the posh New York Chinese restaurant Philippe Chow,” the aforementioned e-zine writes.

The source hints that this could have been a proper date because the two stars went to great lengths to make sure no one saw them meet at the restaurant.

“They arrived separately. Diddy was first and he went straight to a private dining room,” says the unnamed but reportedly reliable insider.

“JLo walked in 20 minutes later and smiled at fellow diners as she brushed past them. There was laughter and giggling from their room but, for the most part, they seemed deep in conversation,” adds the spy.

There wasn’t any indication they spent the night together. “They stayed for about two hours before leaving separately,” the insider reveals.

Whether that is true or not, Jennifer Lopez remains a firm believer in love, even after three failed marriages and some very public breakups, as she told Vanity Fair in the first interview she gave the press since the divorce announcement.

Also then, she hinted that things with Marc have been bad for a very long time and that he wasn’t treating her ok, though she doesn’t say what exactly she’s referring to.

Nevertheless, “I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children,” she said.
