When you’re a celebrity, even potty training your kids can become a very expensive thing to do – this is the lesson that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony learned on their own, when their son went number 2 in the pool.

In a recent interview, Marc opened up a bit about life at home as father of the twins Max and Emme, aged 3, Us Weekly reports.

Among the topics on which he touched upon was also that of potty training the two, which, it would seem, turned out to be more expensive that he and his wife ever suspected.

Marc recalled that Max once relieved himself in the family pool – and this was no accident that they could easily write off.

“He had an accident in the pool. It got into the filtration system and they charged us to clean it. That was expensive,” the singer, who will be seen next as mentor on a talent competition, said.

“He took a $6,000 dump in the pool!” Anthony added, not afraid to offer the exact amount his son’s accident cost him.

Marc also recalled how he and Jennifer were tricked by Max and Emme, just when they thought potty training was “in full force.” Apparently, it wasn’t.

“In order to potty train them, every time they’d use the toilet we’d give them a lollipop. Three days passed and we ran out of lollipops,” Marc explained.

Naturally, his first thought was that something was wrong with the kids.

“I’m like, ‘You should probably get them checked out if they’re using the potty that much’,” he added.

As noted above, Marc Anthony is now promoting “Q’Viva: The Chosen,” a show that sees him and his wife Jennifer traveling to 21 countries in Latin America in search of new talent, which they will fly then to the US for the grand finale.

This new project, together with revived interest in Lopez’s movie career, will probably keep her from returning for another season on American Idol, as we also informed you yesterday.
