If the rumors we were hearing many years ago that Lopez, out of pride for her bum, had it ensured, then it was money well spent, since last night’s ceremony saw the daredevil singer, dressed as a boxing champion, take a rather hard fall on her backside. One might also add that not even the slightest crack in her onstage persona for the gig – the boxing champ – was noticeable for the cameras in the aftermath of the incident.
“Lopez turned the stage into a scene similar to that of a boxing ring. To match the theme, the songstress had promoter and professional wrestler Vince McMahon yelling his signature catch phrase, ‘Let’s get ready to rumble!’ while she herself and her backing dancers also dressed like boxers. Halfway through the song, Lopez climbed up the backs of her back-up dancers who had bent over to create a staircase. When reaching the top, the music star jumped off but failed to land smoothly on her feet. She slipped and fell on her bottom. She was quick to stand up though and finished her performance,” says the same e-zine.
