Stars deny there was ever any tension between them on the set of their new movie

When the film “What to Expect When You're Expecting” was still shooting last year, rumors abounded about how two of its stars, Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz, couldn't possibly see eye to eye because they were acting like spoiled divas all the time.

Below is a video of what they have to say about that.

The movie is now out in theaters and everybody involved in it is putting in the extra hours to promote it. JLo and Cameron did the same, by agreeing to do an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

Among the topics up for discussion was also that of the so-called feud between them, which, they say, never happened because they didn't even get a chance to spend time together.

Both stars explain that each plotline was shot separately on different sets, so they didn't hang out or even meet while working on theirs.

“They made [rumors] up about us on this movie... that we wouldn’t talk to each other and there were all these catfights...,” Cameron says, recalling what she'd seen in magazines.

“I was like, 'I haven’t even seen her yet... give us a chance to get in the room',” Jennifer adds laughing.

As Cameron sees it, the problem is that the world – and the media in particular – is misogynistic.

“They always want women to be cat fighting. They are always pitting women against each other. Are the men all sword fighting? That doesn't happen,” she explains.

Also on Ellen's couch, Jennifer takes the time to address other rumors about her that have been printed but are not true, while admitting she's “just like any other girl” and likes to occasionally indulge in reading glossies.

“They say that I want to adopt and I had depression when I had babies – none of that's really true,” she explains.

She doesn't want to adopt and has never really considered about it until she worked on “What to Expect When You're Expecting,” because the film allowed her to understand how other people can do it.

She wasn't depressed either, she just had a hormone drop and, like any other young mother, wondered whether her twins would love her, but it was all twisted in the press.
