14 DAY TRIAL // As a second round of intimate celebrity photos are leaked on the internet, Jennifer Lawrence again takes center stage, becoming the most targeted actress in the scandal. There are now well over 60 photos and even some videos of the actress floating around on the web and there have been previous rumors that the actress was now fearing for the impact they would have on her career.
Reports began emerging that the producers of the “X-Men” franchise did not see Lawrence's exposure in the media with good eyes and they planned to fire her from her role of Mystique in the upcoming movie.
Insiders confirm Jennifer's part in the movie is not in danger
Hollywoodlife claims to have spoken with insiders on the production team who have denied the rumors, “Jennifer’s role in future X-Men films will not be affected at all over the photo leak. People close to the film are aware things like this happen and it shouldn’t do anything to her role because she never did it on purpose.”
It seems that Jennifer is fine for now, and so is her career, because the powers that be understand this was not a stunt done on purpose but an accident. As long as Jennifer doesn't purposely publish photos of herself of an intimate nature, she's going to be OK. Of course, if she's going to be involved in more leaks, it's certain that the studio's understanding in the matter has its limitations.
The producers are comparing Jennifer's situation to Bryan Singer's molestation lawsuit
The insiders also mention that Jennifer’s situation is far less scandalous than that of director Bryan Singer, who, as you might know, was involved in a nasty molestation lawsuit that coincided with the release in cinemas of “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
“Plus, how would it look if they got rid of her after keeping Bryan Singer around after his scandal?” pointed out one insider, adding that “Jen is fine.”
This doesn't mean that Jennifer is in the clear. There are plenty of examples of actresses whose career was hurt when intimate photos of them were leaked. One such example was Vanessa Hudgens, the former Disney actress. Incidentally, Vanessa is again present in this latest round of celebrity leaks, proving that she hasn't learned much from her first incident in 2007.
The next “X-Men movie,” entitled “X-Men: Apocalypse” is going to star Jennifer Lawrence again, by the looks of things, and it's set to start filming in Montreal in 2015.
