Here’s something to get your mind off that celebrity hacked photos scandal that stirred up such a fuss online this past week: Lionsgate is shrugging off the controversy around their leading lady, Jennifer Lawrence, by continuing with the promo campaign for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.”

Attached to this blog post is a brand new poster released for the film, with the “mockingjay” herself Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence). You can’t tell it’s her in it because she’s standing with her back to the camera, but there’s no mistaking that hair braid and especially that bow and arrows.

Katniss’ face is completely obscured from view, but her posture, and more importantly her getup (leather jacket with minimalist feathers on her shoulders to suggest the mockingjay) leaves no room for doubt as to what’s on her mind: she’s ready for battle, she’s finally embracing her position as a symbol for the revolution and will stand up to the Capitol and try to set all 13 Districts of Panem free.

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” is the second to last installment in the hugely successful film franchise, picking up after the events in “Catching Fire,” which saw Katniss rescued from the Arena by members of District 13 and carried there to safety.

The film also stars Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Stanley Tucci, Natalie Dormer, Donald Sutherland, Gwendoline Christie, and Robert Knepper. Based on the best-selling novels by Suzanne Collins, it is directed by Francis Lawrence and will be out in theaters this November.

“Part 2,” the final installment, will open one year from then, on November 20, 2015.
