14 DAY TRIAL // Perhaps one of the most talked about moments at the Academy Awards 2013 was when Jennifer Lawrence tripped and fell on the stairs on her way to accept the award for Best Actress. She handled it like a pro and made fun of the situation in following interviews, but here’s what was going through her mind.
Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk.
Jennifer is featured in the latest issue of W magazine and, among other things, she explains what went wrong at the Oscars that the entire world got to see her on her fours, surrounded by her gorgeous and giant light pink gown.
“I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear if my name was called, and I kept thinking, Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk. I thought, Why is ‘cakewalk’ stuck in my head?” she says.
“And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, ‘Kick, walk, kick, walk.’ You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that’s why I fell,” the actress adds.
