For Jennifer Aniston, one of the darlings of Hollywood thanks to her good looks and performances in goofy comedic roles, it seemed for a long time that the old adage “always a bridesmaid, never a bride” was a harsh reality.

Despite being married to one of the most coveted male stars, namely Brad Pitt, the actress is having trouble convincing her current boyfriend to walk down the aisle. This time, her relationship with actor Justin Theroux is showing promising signs, as E! is reporting that the couple spent the entire last week preparing for an island wedding.

For a long time, Justin and Jennifer were rumored to be on the verge of breakup, as they failed to make couple appearances in public for months at a time, even for special events. The rumor mill went into overdrive last month, when Jennifer celebrated her birthday without Justin, who was busy filming on the opposite coast of the United States.

But now, according to sources close to the couple, they spent the better part of last week planning their big wedding, and it looks like Jennifer “wants to have an island wedding.” So far, there is no clear indication as what island in particular is Jennifer eyeing for her big day, but you can rest assured that it's going to be something tropical.

But before they can get to writing their vows, the couple must undergo another long separation, as Theroux is heading again back to New York where he starts work on the HBO series “The Leftovers” with LivTyler and Amy Brennerman.

Jennifer, in the meantime, is stuck in Los Angeles, but reports have her getting ready for what could be the most important day of her life. The same sources are saying that Jennifer is currently getting on a last-minute diet to get into shape for her wedding but also for her upcoming project drama “Cake.”

Famous actress and longtime friend Courteney Cox is also set to be married this year, as her relationship with Snow Patrol front man, Johnny McDaid, is said to be fast-tracking, despite the fact that they've just gotten together late last year.

In this case, it could turn out to be a race to the altar between these two old friends, despite the fact that neither couple has made any official statements regarding such marital activities. We'll just have to wait and see if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will receive an invitation to Jennifer's special island wedding.
