14 DAY TRIAL // Jennifer Aniston is so happy with fiancé Justin Theroux that she’d like the rest of the world to be on the same level of happiness as she is – or at least her friends, if possible. Because she’s so eager to help out, she’s set her mind on playing matchmaker to Gwyneth Paltrow, who announced her split from Chris Martin last month.
Gwyneth and Chris were married for 11 years and, though they’ve been putting up a united front since the announcement and despite the rumors that they’d been having an open relationship for years, one assumes the breakup isn’t easy on either.
But everyone deals with heartbreak in their own way and maybe Gwyneth’s is to start dating right after the official demise of her marriage, when the divorce papers haven’t even been filed yet. Jennifer Aniston, her friend, seems to think this at least.
“Now that she's found love, Jen wants the same sort of happiness for all her friends, so when Gwyn pointed out that Orlando was hot, she started to play matchmaker,” an insider says, as cited by Contact Music.
She doesn’t want to it to be awkward for the two, though, so instead of setting them up for a regular date, she’s thinking big.
“She's not a pushy person so she'd never do it without the go-ahead from Gwyneth – but if Gwyn says yes, Jen's planning to throw a little dinner party at her house. She'll invite a few other couples so it's a party instead of a set-up. The last thing she wants to do is put them in an awkward situation,” the insider adds of Aniston’s plans.
Orlando is fresh out of a marriage as well, though his relationship with former Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr ended some time ago, last year. He’s had more time to decide to move on than Paltrow.
Speaking of the Oscar-winning actress, conflicting reports claim that she wouldn’t say no to getting back with her musician husband. Proof of that would be the fact that neither has filed the divorce papers just yet. Even more, right after the announcement, they went off on vacation together and have been photographed looking happy in each other’s company, as if their marriage wasn’t really over.
Gwyneth and Chris have two children together. Orlando too has a gorgeous son with Miranda. Another thing Gwyneth and Orlando have in common is that his divorce too stands out for being extremely amicable, and not just by celebrity standards.
