14 DAY TRIAL // Terry Richardson, one of the most appreciated fashion photographers of the moment, also happens to be one of the most controversial. With a new round of assault allegations piling on his already soiled reputation, the last thing he needs right now is to start losing famous friends.
Sadly for him, this is precisely what’s happening, Star magazine claims in its latest print issue (story via CB). Jennifer Aniston is urging her fiancé Justin Theroux, who also happens to be one of Richardson’s closest friends, to stop hanging out with him.
Stories around Richardson’s creepy behavior around the models he shoots have been around for years but they have been picking up speed in recent months, when more young models mustered the courage to speak up against him, even running the risk of never having a career in fashion because of it.
Richardson’s response didn’t fail to show up: he was an artist. It’s true, he did engage in certain acts with certain models on certain shoots, but it’s always been consensual, he never forced anyone to do what they didn’t want, let alone underage girls.
Those who say otherwise must have a personal vendetta against him.
Well, according to the tab, Aniston is not buying it and she wants Justin to just stop hanging out with Richardson. The two have been photographed a lot together in recent weeks, as Theroux spent more time in NYC working on his new HBO series, “The Leftovers.”
He even got the idea to ask Richardson to do his and Jennifer’s wedding portraits – and this is when all hell broke loose.
“While preparations for the pair’s wedding are (finally) underway, Justin is adamant that his god pal Terry do the photography. But Jennifer has issued a strict ‘keep the creep away’ policy for their big day,” Star claims.
The former “Friends” actress can’t stand the photographer even though she too posed for him in what would become her and Justin’s first photo session as a couple. You can see one of the pics from that session above, with Jennifer standing right next to Richardson who, unlike other fashion photographers, tends to insert himself in the spread towards the end.
“Terry rubs Jen the wrong way,” an inside source tells Star under the promise of anonymity. “She feels like she needs to take a shower after hanging out with him. She doesn’t like his jokes or the way he talks about women, and feels like he’s constantly checking out her [breasts].”
So far, Aniston is yet to get Justin to promise he would not see Richardson anymore.
