14 DAY TRIAL // Jennifer Aniston is getting ready for her wedding to Justin Theroux, reportedly picking a date for the event and planning a name change.
While the date has not been made public, we know it will take place soon after March 8, when the actress is finishing her Elmore Leonard project.
According to the Christian Post, 44-year-old Aniston is in the process of picking out wedding dresses.
She appears to be very excited by the coming nuptials, and tells friends that only a small crowd will attend the ceremony. 50 people have been invited, compared to the 200 invitations she sent out for her 2000 wedding to Brad Pitt.
"It will be a small affair with their closest friends. Jen seems more confident than ever and they've become a great team," a source describes.
The same friend notes that Jennifer will be taking Theroux’s name, which she believes sounds “posh.”
"She plans on privately changing her name to Theroux. She like the way it sounds and jokes that [Jennifer Theroux] sounds very posh," the source says.
Former Friends co-star and best friend Courteney Cox will be participating in the event, but will not be a bridesmaid.
"Jen wants to include some of her new pals and, though she will attend the wedding, she thinks that Courteney may have too much on her plate," an insider reveals.
Actress Emily Blunt and talkshow host Chelsea Handler will be part of the bridal party. Handler has been supportive of Aniston through her public divorce from Pitt.
"Jen thinks that Chelsea is brilliant. She's the only friend who publicly defended her over Angelina Jolie getting together with her ex Brad Pitt in 2005, so there's fierce loyalty there. […] Now Jen is with Justin, things with Courteney are different," the source adds.
