Whenever we hear about a celebrity complaining about lack of privacy, we tend to think “Yeah, but they asked for this. They knew what to expect when they got into this.” A new documentary aims to show us we're wrong.

It's called “$ellebrity” and it aims to show in how many ways a person's privacy can be violated to get a headline.

Paparazzi call themselves “photojournalists,” but this documentary aims to show they're far from that.

To give the argument more substance, the film includes interviews with some of the biggest and most paparazzi hounded names in the industry, from Jennifer Aniston and Salma Hayek, to Jennifer Lopez, Elton John and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Directed by Kevin Mazur, “$ellebrity” first premiered at the South by Southwest Festival in March.
