14 DAY TRIAL // The names Jennifer Aniston and Selena Gomez didn't have a place in the same sentence before this, but it turns out that the comedic actress is turning her mothering instincts on the heartbroken singer who is still pinning after Justin Bieber after their second breakup.
Up until now, Selena has been using BFF Taylor Swift as an advisor in matters of the heart, but it seems that she is no longer able to cope with her issues, so Gomez is now asking actress Jennifer Aniston for help, who is not unfamiliar with the whole “pinning after your man” thing.
Selena and Jennifer have been spotted on a dinner date out in Los Angeles on Monday, May 19, at the Madeo restaurant, according to Hollywoodlife. An insider with the restaurant confirms that Jen and Selena were present there and the topic on hand was cheating men.
If you remember, Jennifer also suffered from a similar fate when Brad Pitt ditched her in favor of co-star Angelina Jolie back in 2005, on the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” Jennifer has since found happiness in the arms of fiancé Justin Theroux, and now she's dispensing advice to Selena whose wounds are still quite fresh.
“Jennifer was definitely giving Selena love advice. I overheard both of them say Justin’s name and Jennifer was doing most of the talking and Selena was doing a lot of nodding,” claims the eyewitness.
“They were pretty much talking to each other the whole time, while the two guys were in their own conversation,” the source continues, indicating that there were two other men at the dinner table.
“They were talking, they were laughing, they seemed to be really into the conversation. As for the guys they were with, one was younger (in his 20s), and the other was a middle-aged man (he looked like an agent). It definitely wasn’t Justin [Theroux]. They ate a full dinner and they looked like they were having a really good time,” we're being told.
The other topic on the table seems to have been an upcoming project that would see the two of them collaborating, something which sounds exciting off the bat.
Before the evening came to an end, “Jennifer had a book with her sitting on the table called A Return To Love and she gave it to Selena before they left.” The source recognized it as being a book by Marianne Williamson, focusing on spiritual principles and basically just loving yourself.
Based on all of this information, we can safely assume that Jennifer is at the moment acting the patf of the older sister to Selena Gomez and guiding her through the heartbreak.
