14 DAY TRIAL // For a couple of weeks now, reports have been swirling that, after the split from Renee Zellweger, Bradley Cooper is looking to rekindle the romance with Jennifer Aniston, whom he dated briefly in 2009. Jen, too, is very keen on making this work, it has emerged.
While the two stars keep their silence on the topic of their love life – and whether they’re dating, in particular – the tabloids are having a field day with stories about who’s wooing who.
The print edition of OK! Magazine (story via here), for instance, says that it was Jen who called Bradley up shortly after he broke up with Renee, asking him to reconnect.
“As soon as she heard he was back on the market, she picked up the phone and they reconnected – via assistants at first,” says an unnamed spy.
In doing so, Jennifer overlooked how hurt she was when, in 2009, just as she was thinking that things between her and Bradley were going from good to excellent, he put a halt on their dates so he could pursue Renee, claims the mag.
“When he ended up with Renee instead of her, Jen was blown away. She moved on, but there was always a part of her that still liked him,” the all-knowing tipster explains.
For the time being, they’re taking it slow. Aniston is in no rush, because she has a feeling that everything will be ok, especially since she and Bradley have so much in common – down to experience in married life, divorce and working through adversity.
They even like the same things, like hanging out with friends in quiet places, avoiding the clubs and the party circuit, and just being homebodies.
“Their similarities in lifestyles and likes and dislikes are uncanny. They’re both drama-free,” says the spy of the chemistry between the two.
“There was definitely a feeling of unfinished business for her. He’s the kind of guy she’d love to be with, he’s charming and very sweet, and she thinks he’s gorgeous,” the insider adds.
Even so, Aniston is not rushing the romance. “She knows how important Bradley’s career is to him, and she admires how dedicated he is, so she’s being patient. She knows it will all happen in the right time,” the insider adds.
