14 DAY TRIAL // The latest issue of Star magazine brings a story that any gossip lover could have easily spotted a mile away: Jennifer Aniston has admitted to her new best friend Chelsea Handler that she can’t stop loving ex-husband Brad Pitt.
As we also reported on several previous occasions, Chelsea and Jen are good friends now – so good they’re even spending their holidays together, with Aniston flying the comedienne to Cabo over Thanksgiving to be together.
The other day, Handler lashed out at Angelina Jolie during a live stand-up number, calling her a homewrecker and saying there really was no mystery to the fact that she had no friends.
Handler later explained that she’d been making fun of Angie since 10 years back, when she kissed her brother James Haven at the Oscars, so this wasn’t something new and definitely not something she’d said in Aniston’s defense.
Star has a new theory, as one can easily see from the cover of its latest issue (via Cover Awards). Apparently, Aniston has recently confided in Handler, telling her that, no matter what, she still can’t stop loving Pitt.
“Jen pours her heart out to best friend Chelsea: ‘I can’t stop loving Brad’,” reads the caption on the Star cover for this week’s issue.
It was precisely this thing said in confidence that made the television star feel the need to stand up for her friend in public, the tab says – as if that would have brought Pitt back to Aniston.
“After Jen admits she wants Brad back, BFF Chelsea Handler calls Angelina a ‘homewrecker’ and rips her to shreds in a public rant,” another, smaller caption on the cover reads.
However, Handler herself denied Aniston had anything to do with her anti-Jolie speech, saying it wasn’t really something new.
“They were talking about me on The View, talking about me and my Angelina Jolie tirade. Can I just say that I’ve been making fun of Angelina Jolie since she made out with her brother?” Handler said on her show the other day.
“If I’ve learned nothing from this, it’s to write new jokes,” she added with her typical sense of humor.
