14 DAY TRIAL // If you hated Rebecca Black and her “Friday” viral hit, you probably loved Jenna Rose. The 13-year-old singer of “My Jeans” has a new video out, this time for a song called “Time of Our Lives.”
While the song in itself is ok as far as lyrics go, in that Jenna is telling the world that she’s “a nice girl” who just wants to “rock out with the girls” and who promises listeners they will have “the time of our lives,” there’s something off about the video.
This girls is 13 – yet the video begins with a street fight in which other girls of her age, all made up to the nines and wearing clubbing outfits, are tearing each other’s hair and throwing punching like any respectable ladette.
Granted, towards the end, the video gets better, as Jenna gets up on stage with her dancers for a well executed routine – so this begs the question, why include the opening scenes at all. Check it.
