Actor Jeff Conaway, who starred in the blockbuster “Grease” and several other very successful television shows, including the most recent reality show Celebrity Rehab, is in what is described as critical condition. The 59-year-old star fell down the stairs at his home and has suffered brain hemorrhage and several fractures, TMZ reports.

Details of the star’s condition continue to be sketchy at this point, but it would seem that his condition is very serious, the paparazzi agency and celebrity gossip website reports after speaking with Conaway’s live-in girlfriend. According to her, the actor sustained severe injuries, but she would not say more until doctors gave her something certain to report.

“Jeff Conaway from ‘Grease’ was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital today – and according to his girlfriend, he suffered devastating injuries. Jeff’s girlfriend, Vikki Lizzi, tells TMZ Jeff fell down a staircase this morning at his home and suffered a broken hip, a broken arm, a fractured neck and a brain hemorrhage.Vicki says Jeff is currently in the emergency room and will undergo surgery on his broken hip,” TMZ writes.

Another star who was left badly injured in a home freak accident was NFL star Chris Henry, who got into an altercation with his girlfriend and soon to be wife. She rushed out of the house and tried to get away from him in a pickup truck. He jumped on the bed of the truck, from where he fell when the car picked up speed. Henry was rushed to the hospital with severe trauma to the head and was pronounced dead shortly after.

Given the Conaway’s past problems with substance abuse, talk of this being the result of a domestic dispute is already starting to pick up. Of course, so far, this is only speculation. Keep an eye on this space for more on his condition, as details are bound to emerge in the next couple of hours.
