Susan Boyle, the unlikeliest of all underdogs ever to appear on live television, has reportedly turned into a genuine diva, as she’s having an increasingly tough time dealing with attention going to someone else than her. According to the Daily Mail and several other reports in the British tabloids, Boyle had a very public outburst while watching the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final and hearing one of the judges praise another contestant.

According to reports, Susan and other 150 guests were at the bar of the hotel where she’s staying until the grand finale, watching the semi-finals, when she was incredibly offended by Piers Morgan praising another contender to the title. When Piers told Shaheen Jafargholi his was “the best singing performance we have heard in the semi-finals so far,” an infuriated Boyle reportedly stuck two fingers in the air, yelled “[expletive] off” at the television set and stormed out the door, the Mail says.

“Her outburst was alleged to have been witnessed by about 150 guests at the Wembley Plaza Hotel, with one claiming: ‘Everyone was stunned by her reaction’.” the publication writes. Admittedly, this is not the first incident of the kind either, as eyewitnesses say she did the same when asked for an autograph the other day as well, which has prompted many to speculate on whether she did not let fame go to her head or if she’s finally feeling the pressure of being the favorite to win the talent competition.

“Susan’s been quite funny lately – really moody. She told a group of Chinese tourists where to go when they innocently asked for an autograph. I think the fame has gone to her head.” the unnamed source reveals for the tab. A publicist for the upcoming singer would beg to disagree though: Susan Boyle could not have found “offense” with Morgan praising another competitor for the simple reason that she was not in the room when the Britain’s Got Talent judge made the comment. “Susan was in the bar with friends but was getting hassled by a journalist. The four of them left before Shaheen’s live performance to watch it in the room instead.” says the rep for the same publication.

With all this, Susan Boyle remains the favorite to win the talent competition on Saturday, when the final takes place. Her performance in the one before last stage of Britain’s Got Talent, although by all means spectacular, was considered by critics one degree under the one she gave during auditions, since she seemed a bit too nervous and also had to sing with a severe cold.
